Drum Circles Resources

There are several great ways to stay connected and spread information. Here is information about upcoming drumming opportunities to specific rhythms from various cultures. If you know of a list that should be included here, please let us know at info@swps.org.

Seattle Hand Drummers

Seattle Hand Drummers is about everything DRUM:  community events, lessons, workshops, private and public performances, drum circles, drum building and maintenance!  Looking for rhythm in your community?  Interested in percussion and hand drums?  We have something for everyone:  special needs, seniors, kinds, families.  Come jam with us at a drum circle or book us for a workshop or event.  Drumming strong since 2010!

For more information:  Meetup, Facebook

Seattle Drum Circle

The Seattle Drum Circle is a free-spirited, artistic gathering created by the people for the people. We will gather about an hour before sunset every Sunday throughout the Spring and Summer. The final session is scheduled for September 24th, the Sunday after the Autumnal Equinox. The main objective is to get in tune with each other and ourselves by sharing rhythm to create a collective voice.

Seattle Drum Jams

The Seattle Drum Jams mailing list is an email community for Seattle area hand drummers and world music dancers.  The Seattle-Drum-Jams list is the best way to share and receive up-to-date information about drum circles, drum & dance classes, festivals, performances, and similar events in our area. Get answers to your drumming-oriented questions. Share the high points of your drumming journey.

Drum Circle Facilitators

This list has a membership from all over the globe. Discussion focuses on all aspects of drum circle facilitation (DCF) such as uses, challenges, and dynamics of drum circles while working with a wide variety of groups ranging from school-age kids to special needs elders to youth-at-risk to corporate work groups.  You can ask questions, share experiences, and offer advice.
